I’m Cherian Belun—a Senior Product Designer and Certified Scrum Product Owner with 7+ years of experience creating intuitive, scalable experiences for complex systems.
My design philosophy is grounded in clarity, empathy, and inclusion. Whether I’m building enterprise tools at scale or improving legacy workflows, I lead with the belief that good design works for everyone—not just the average user. I’m especially passionate about making digital spaces more accessible and reflective of real-world diversity.
I've worked across industries—from tech to oil & gas—partnering closely with cross-functional teams to turn abstract business needs into thoughtful, user-first solutions. I thrive in messy, complex problem spaces, and I love helping teams see the bigger picture without losing sight of the details.
I also speak and write about inclusive design, especially how it shows up in enterprise tools, edge cases, and systemic design decisions. I'm always exploring how we can design not just for the user in the room—but for the users we didn’t expect.

What I’m passionate about
(and how I show it)
I design with purpose—and that purpose is inclusion. I believe the best products are built when everyone feels seen, respected, and empowered to contribute. That’s why I’m deeply committed to fostering inclusive design environments and building systems that support real people with real-world complexity.
For the past five years, I’ve led efforts to expand access and representation in the design industry. As the co-founder and co-lead of Black Designers @Microsoft (BDAM), I helped create a space where Black designers could thrive—from mentoring career-changers to building a community that didn’t just open doors, but held them wide open.
I speak, mentor, and design with a single goal: to build experiences—and teams—that reflect the world we live in. Because great design doesn’t just solve problems. It makes people feel like they belong.
